 FAQs

  • No, you can make an appointment directly without a referral. If you have been diagnosed with a chronic medical condition and require complex care you may be eligible for Chronic Disease Management (CDM) assistance. Your GP must complete a special referral form to refer you to an Osteopath for treatment under a CDM plan.

  • Please remember to bring any X-rays, scans, or test results you may have with you to your appointment.

You’re also welcome to bring along a friend/partner/child etc. We have a collection of toys and books to entertain little (and big) children alike!

  • We value your comfort, and therefore suggest wearing comfortable clothing like a loose-fitting shirt and pants, or shorts that you can change into. During the treatment, your osteopath may need to access the affected area and discuss the removal of clothing. Please be assured that we will provide you with a gown and/or towels to ensure privacy.

  • Osteopathic treatment is involves manual therapy and should not cause excessive discomfort, but if hands-on treatment of painful areas is needed, your osteopath will work with you to ensure your comfort. While some techniques may cause short-term discomfort or pain, any mild soreness experienced afterward is similar to that felt after mild exercise and should subside within a day or two. Your osteopath will discuss this with you and provide after care advice. If soreness persists or increases, do not hesitate to contact your osteopath to discuss your concerns.

  • The first appointment will last for one hour to allow for a comprehensive medical history and examination to determine the most suitable treatment plan. Subsequent appointments will be 40 minutes long. Womens Health appointments for new and existing patients are one hour. This is to allow for possible internal assessment and treatment. More information can be found under services.

  • An initial consultation fee is $155, while a subsequent consultation costs $118. Don't forget to bring your health insurance card to every appointment if you are eligible for a private health insurance rebate. Our HICAPs terminal allows us to claim this for you, and we will charge you the gap after processing the rebate.
